   ST JAMES, ST MARY'S & ST BOTOLPH'S CHURCH WELCOME SHEET - 13TH SEPTEMBER    13 September, 2020

The Benefice of St. James, High Wych,

St. Mary, Gilston and St. Botolph, Eastwick

Sunday 13th September – 15th after Pentecost

9.30am Holy Communion, St James, High Wych led by Rev’d Tim Weeks

11.15am Holy Communion, St Mary’s, Gilston

The services will be streamed and broadcasted at approximately the same time as the live service is taking place. The services will also be available online afterwards.

Sarah Bagnall leads evening prayer on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6.30pm, in St Botolph’s Church and St. Mary’s Church. These services are streamed

Benefice churches are opening for private prayer.  St James is open on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2pm until 4pm. An information notice is displayed inside and outside the church.

For advice on opening St Botolph’s and St Mary’s Churches, for private prayer.  Please contact Sarah Bagnall who will advise. 

Please continue to pray that the Coronavirus pandemic will return to a manageable level and restrictions can be safely lifted.  Stay safe and care for yourselves and others.

Harvest readings

It is now necessary to wear face covering in church buildings – small choirs can sing in churches; the congregation cannot sing.

The Harvest picnic at St James on 20th September and the Harvest lunch at St Botolph’s on Sunday 27th September are both cancelled.

The Harvest Festival Service at St James on 20th September will revert to 9.30am

Collections will be taken at both services for the Bishops 2020 ‘Creating a buzzing Nepal’ Appeal. And the collections of tinned and packaged foods will go to the food bank

God of Mission send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning, wisdom to our actions, and power to our witness. Help our churches grow in numbers, in spiritual commitment to you and service to our local community, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen
