TEMPORARY CLOSURE PERMISSIVE FOOPATH MOORHEN WALKWAY    March 9, 2018

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PERMISSIVE FOOTPATH PUBLIC NOTICE  HARLOW DISTRICT COUNCIL PERMISSIVE FOOTPATH (PART CLOSURE) MOORHEN WALKWAY

NOTICE is hereby given that Harlow District Council is to close (on a temporary basis) part of the permissive footpath located next to the Moorhen Marina, Burnt Mill Lane, Harlow, Essex CM20 2QS adjacent to the River Stort waterway.  The part of the footpath to be temporarily closed is indicated by the red dotted line shown on the plan (the “Plan”) referenced GIM4411-020 relating to this Notice (the Plan being available for inspection as detailed below). The closure period is to commence on 14th March 2018 and is to end at Midnight on 15 May 2018. In the event that repair works have not been completed by Canal and River Trust within that period Harlow District Council may extend closure by up to 6 weeks without further notice.  An alternative route is indicated by the green dotted line shown on the Plan.

During the construction works period, residents of boats who have mooring leases may vacate the mooring upon giving not less than 72 hours written notice to the Canal and River Trust (Contact: Enquiries.London@canalrivertrust.org.uk….). The temporary closure is necessary to protect the public from inadvertently entering a construction site whilst major repair works are carried out to the Marina footbridge shown on the Plan. Any further extension will require the further consent of Harlow District Council.

Any queries in relation to this temporary closure and temporary alternative route can be directed to Harlow District Council (Telephone numbers: 01279 446655 or 446687).  The Plan may be inspected on the Council’s website (www.harlow.gov.uk) or at the Civic Centre, Water Gardens, Harlow, Essex CM20 1WG.
