HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

the hertfordshire (Temporary Closing of Gilston Lane, Gilston) order 2020

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gilston Lane, Gilston from its junction with Pye Corner north westwards for a distance of approximately 74 metres (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Pye Corner, High Wych Road, High Wych Lane, Bakers Lane, 3U172 (unnamed road) and Gilston Lane.

The Order is needed because customer connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 November 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

THE ACT OF REMEMBRANCE SERVICE STARTING AT 10.45AM

FOLLOWED BY HOLY COMMUNION

THE POPPY WREATHS WILL THEN BE PLACED AT BOTH OF OUR WAR MEMORIALS AFTER THE SERVICE.

THIS WILL BE THE PARISH COUNCIL’S BUSINESS MEETING.

VILLAGE DEFIBRILLATORS

Defibrillator at the Gilston & Eastwick Village Hall

Can be found on the outside of the building by the notice board.

And

The Lion Public House

Can be found in the covered area to the right of the pub courtyard.

The defibrillator is designed to be very easy to use and talks you through what you need to do step by step.
If you are in the unfortunate position of needing to use it you simply
